B.F. Ralph Perry

B.F. Ralph Perry, 82, passed away at home, peacefully surrounded by family, on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in Hobart, Oklahoma. He was born February 17, 1932, in  Kingston, Arkansas. Ralph is the youngest child
in his family. His dad, Benjamin F.S. Perry, wife Martha Emaline Morning (Hathrone), was the youngest child in  his family. His grandfather, Samuel E. Perry was the oldest child of Job W. Perry and Sarah Jane (Wilson) Perry.
Ralph moved to Rocky, Oklahoma, at a young age. He graduated from Rocky High School in 1951.  He joined the U.S. Navy in 1952, serving on the U.S. Hamul. Ralph served as a refrigeration mechanic. Ralph retired after ten years of Civil Service at the Naval Undersea Warfare Engineering Station, Keyport, Washinton. Ralph was authorized commendations in United Nations, Korean Service, National Defense, Good Conduct and Vietnam.
He was honorably discharged on March 1, 1956, at Treasure Island, San Francisco, California. Ralph received a Korean War Medal at the Military Expo, Historic Fort Snelling, Minnesota, on July 28, 2001.  Ralph was a life long member of the VFW. Ralph married Donna Davis on April 12, 1979, in Grapevine, Texas. He worked in Keyport, Washington, at the Naval Submarine base until he retired. He enjoyed traveling with Donna after retirement, traveling all over North America. Ralph and Donna moved to Hobart, Oklahoma, in 2007. Ralph enjoyed sitting on their front porch watching the traffic pass in the spring evening breeze. Ralph was a "Latter Day Pioneer" just enjoying the simple life. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Ralph is survived by: his wife, Donna, of the home; one son, Dewayne Henegar and wife Virginia, Hobart, Okla- B.F. Ralph Perry homa; one brother, Bobby Joe Perry, Paris, Texas; eight grandchildren, Lindsey Bates, Keller, Texas, Lauren Townsley and husband Scott, Keller, Texas, Keaton Ammons, Keller, Texas, Shavahn Simmons and husband Dustin, Justin, Texas, Benjamin Henegar and wife Shawna, Glen Rose, Texas, Michael Henegar, Seattle, Washington, Ashley Marino and husband Erick, Hobart, Oklahoma, Magan Springfield and husband Bobby, Fort Worth, Texas; seven great-grandchildren, Hayden and Hadlee Simmons, Dahlia Henegar, Brooke and Hayleigh Marino, and Reese and Max Townsley. He was preceded in death by: his parents; one son, Mark Wayne; one sister, Lois Wilkerson- Lukas; and one brother Charlie Arthur Perry. Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday. January 24, 2015, at the Church of Christ Church in Hobart, Oklahoma, with Bill Coffin officiating. Burial followed at the Lone
Star Cemetery in Rocky, Oklahoma, under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home.
