Washita National Wildlife Refuge, located west of Butler, Oklahoma, on the upper end of Foss Reservoir, will host limited public hunting for geese and sandhill cranes during the 2014-2015 season. This public hunt has been offered on the refuge since 1982, and is one of the premier public waterfowl hunts in the state. Two hundred seventeen hunters bagged 98 geese during the refuge hunts last season, a decrease in overall hunter success from previous years.
