Tommy Mincher, 71, resident of Cordell, Oklahoma, was born on November 9, 1942, in Cordell, Oklahoma, to Harold and Retha Maxine (Perkins) Mincher, and passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Tommy was born in Cordell, and raised in Cordell and Cloud Chief. He attended Cordell schools, where he played football. Tommy served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He had worked as a union electrician for many years. Tommy had also owned and operated T and M Bullets in Cordell. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Tommy loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Retha Mincher, and his brother, Jerry McGrath. Survivors include two sons: Jimmy Guthrie and wife, Cindie, of Newalla, Oklahoma, and Matt Mincher of Cordell, Oklahoma; two sisters: Marty Jackson of Dill City, Oklahoma, and Jamie Mincher Harris of Waxahachie, Texas; two brothers: Ed Mincher of California, and Bill Goodroom of Midwest City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren and one great grandchild; a host of dear family and friends. Services will be held for Tommy Mincher at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the Grace Baptist Church, Dill City, Oklahoma with Rev. Rick Perkins, officiating. Services are under the direction of Musick-Varner Funeral Home, Cordell, Oklahoma.
