Sporting a “#1 Postman” shirt as he began his last Monday on the job, Cordell mail carrier Dudley Simpson said he would “miss the people he met everyday and along the way.” Simpson and postal supervisor Mark Boone will wrap up 56 years of combined service on Friday, January 31, 2014. When asked what his plans were for life after retirement, Simpson said he was going to take a day off, then continue his farming and ranching, as well as being the voice of Cordell sports - announcing CHS ballgames.
