Cordell senior Birdie Brown took one final swing as a high school golfer during the Oklahoma Coaches Association (OCA) All-State Games, representing the West Team in a memorable finish to an outstanding career.
Brown teamed up with Hadley Hill of Turner in Ryder Cup-style play, where the duo put together a flawless performance. The pair won all four of their matches, becoming the only girls’ group at the event to earn four points for their squad.
Their efforts helped the West Team battle to a tie with the East Team, marking the first tied finish in the history of the OCA All-State girls golf competition. Cordell Head Golf Coach, Coach Williams, also received recognition during the event, earning the Regional Coach of the Year Award. The award sealed off a remarkable season for the Blue Devils, highlighted by the girls’ team’s capture of the 2026 OSSAA Class 2A State Championship.
