Willing Workers hold July meeting

OHCE Willing Workers met at Renae Dodson’s home on July 11th. Jodi Sharum was the hostess. Amber Hall called the meeting to order at 11:46 a.m. and the meeting began with the flag salute. Members then recited the County Creed.

Lois Johnson gave the ‘thought of the day’: “May we always be the kind of person whom other people feel better knowing.” She also gave a second one since she didn’t have one last month. “You only need two tools in life, WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use WD40. If it moves and shouldn’t, use duct tape.”

Sherry Hall gave a devotional on Psalms 65:9. Lana Horton read the minutes from the last meeting. Renae Dodson made a motion to accept the minutes and Patsy Walker seconded with all approving.

Lynn Ferrari gave the treasurers report. Lois Johnson made a motion to accept, Sherry Hall seconded, and all accepted.

Jodi Sharum gave a demonstration on making the ’20 Pie Crusts’ recipe. She and her granddaughter, Dani, made the recipe and divided it for each person to take home. Jodi baked Savory Pie for lunch. Amber said the blessing and members ate and said it was a very good pie! (and lunch) There are some wonderful cooks in the group and they are very thankful for each person.

Members discussed the upcoming County Fair in August, such as who is going to work and what day. Next County meeting is July 20 at 2:00 p.m. and more details about the fair will be discussed then.

New business was discussed. Patsy Walker told members about the Children’s Ministry which will be taking donations of school supplies in Canute School. Anyone wanting to donate should bring items to next meeting on August 1st at 11:30 a.m. Lynn Ferrari will be the hostess.

Lone Horton made a motion to adjourn and Jodie Sharum seconded with all accepting. Amber adjourned the meeting at 1:07. Patsy Walker won the hostess gift.
