The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has taken over as the lead agency in an investigation into the death of a two-year-old child in Cordell.
On December 29th, Cordell police responded to a call from a home in Cordell where a toddler was reported as not breathing.
Officers then requested assitance from OSBI, which OSBI said is a common protocol in an unexplained death.
OSBI said the Cordell Police Department is fully cooperating with their investigation.
As of press time, no charges have been filed, and no official cause of death has been publicly released.
Officials had no comment but made it clear that this is an ongoing investigation.
