Local wood carving artist Matt Giblet recently created two sculptures on Cordell’s dowtown square. Utilizing tree trunks that were part of the two remaining full-size trees saved during the last renovations over a decade ago, he carved a beautiful red cardinal and raccoon on the trunk in front of Geisler Appraisals, and a blue bird and raccoon on the southwest corner of the Square.
