Oklahoma Press Association held its annual convention June 10-11 at the Firelake Grand Casino Resort in Shawnee. During the Saturday night awards banquet, Brooklynn Peek was presented with first place in the Best News Story category with her story “Bees Cause a Buzz Around Town” and second place for “Beloved Cordell physician’s legacy remembered.” She was also the winner of two awards in the Best Ad category.
