Cordell Golf Rocks Burns Flat-Dill City Tournament

Cordell’s golfers took to the links last week, opening both the boys’ and girls’ season at the annual Burns Flat-Dill City tournament. The Blue Devil boys won their tournament on Thursday, with Raydon Kuehne leading the charge.

The high school soccer teams travelled to Oklahoma City to face Mount Saint Mary’s on Monday, March 9, in a district match. The Lady Devils got down in the first half 2-0 but made an impressive comeback to tie the score at half 2-2.

Dear Athletic Support: It seems like every time I turn on the television or check my Facebook page, there’s another sporting event cancelled due to the Cornavirus. Both of my kids are athletes, and we have multiple tournaments scheduled for the spring.

We opened the season Monday March 9 at Fairview. There’s nothing like jumping right into district play! We had four outstanding days of practice but with 13 new faces to the roster we didn’t know what to expect this early. Well,the kids came out nervous but didn’t let it get the best of them.

Soccer Club Changes Practice/Play Format

The u6 division kicked off their season on March 10th. We are trying a new play/practice format. The teams will arrive at the fields each Tuesday at 6:00 pm and practice for 30 minutes. Then, they will play a game for 30 minutes.

The Junior High and High School soccer teams opened the season on Thursday, March 5, at home against Elk City. The Junior High girls started the evening off by taking a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by McKinsey Gray. The Elk City girls tied it up a little later.
