Cordell High Cross Country Finds Success at Waurika; Junior High Battles at Hobart Meet

On Wednesday, October 9, Cordell High School's cross-country team traveled to Waurika to compete in the Waurika Invitational Prc-Regional Meet. Calliy Walker led the team, placing first in her event with an outstanding performance. Jacob Vela also impressed, securing 9th place with a strong finish. Teammates Daniel Harjo and Eathan Fcnning put in tremendous effort, but unfortunately, they came up just shy of placement.

In junior high action, Cordell’s cross country team competed at the Bearcat Cross Country Meet in Hobart the same day. Although there were no medalists, each runner displayed determination and a will to finish, pushing themselves to the limit.

Next up for Cordell, the high school team will compete in Yukon on Thursday, October 17, at Southwest Covenant. Meanwhile, the junior high team will head to Chickasha for the 31st Annual JII All-Star XC Championships on October 17 and IS.
