Hundreds of fans gathered under the Friday night lights on September 13th, 2024, to watch the Cordell Blue Devils face off against the Konawa Tigers in what was hoped to be a victorious I lomecoming game. The evening began with the much-anticipated Annual Band Boosters Spaghetti Supper, filling the high school cafeteria with the aroma of homemade goodness and band supporters eager to fuel up before the main event.
At 6:00 p.m., excitement filled the air as the Homecoming coronation ceremony took center stage. Senior Grayson Selrnan, escorted by #15 Dayton Bartlett, was crowned the 2024 Football Homecoming Queen, receiving cheers and applause from the crowd.
As the game kicked off, the Blue Devils faced a tough Konawa Tigers team. Despite the home crowd's enthusiastic support and hopes for a victory, the night took a difficult turn lor Cordell The Tigers dominated the field, leading to a lopsided final score of Blue Devils 0 Tigers 58.
Although the scoreboard reflected defeat, the Cordell community's spirit remained strong, united in support of'their team and the Homecoming celebrations.
