Cordell High School's Cross-Country team made waves at the state tournament on Saturday, November 2, in Edmond, with Calliy Walker taking home a fourth-place finish! Her exceptional performance earned her well-deserved hardware, marking an impressive milestone in her athletic career. The hard days and countless hours she committed to this sport and her constant improvement have paid off, and her fourth-place standing is proof of Walker's toughness on any course!
Joining her at state was teammate Jacob Vela, who capped off his debut season by finishing within the top half of determined runners such as himself. Although Vela didn't place, his commitment and performance set a solid foundation for future seasons. Coach Horn worked with an incredible group of athletes this year. Their collective hard work and team spirit lifted Cordell Cross Country to a new level. Congratulations again to Calliy Walker on her fantastic finish and to the entire team for a successful season!
