In the boys' division, Easton Wall, Jaxon Jones, and Garyn Menke proudly represented Cordell while competing in the 2A category, giving everything they had.
Coach Julie Horn praised the team, saying, 'It has been an incredible honor to coach each of these athletes this season and witness their commitment to self-improvement. Running is a solitary sport that challenges the mind, and I couldn't be prouder of their dedication. Thank you, runners, for the early morning laughs, tears, and even the complaints. Watching you take off from the line each morning is truly the highlight of my day. I appreciate this opportunity and eagerly look forward to next season!'
Meanwhile, the Cordell High School Cross Country team competed at the Patriot XC Invitational in Yukon on Friday, October 18th. Leading the high school girls was Calliy Walker, who delivered a phenomenal finish, securing first place, crossing the line 30 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor.
The high school team now turns its attention to the regional meet scheduled for Saturday, October 26th.
Both the junior high and high school teams have showcased their talent, hard work, and commitment throughout the season. Congratulations to these Blue Devil Cross Country athletes.
