Rosemary was born on June 12, 1950 in Cordell, Oklahoma to George Randle “Shorty” and Marion Ruth (Buckner) Donica. She grew up in Cordell where she attended school, graduating from Cordell High School in 1968. She married Joe Kiehn on June 28, 1969 and they lived in Stillwater for six years before moving to Lawton in 1975.
Rosemary helped manage their business, Gore West Animal Hospital. However her most rewarding role was wife, mother, and “G”. She was the “Ultimate Mom” never missing a practice or game for the kids and grandkids.
She was president of PTA, very active in Booster Club, always the homeroom mother, and a mother to many beyond her own kids. She enjoyed reading decorating, and hosting family holidays and Superbowl’s... always decorating for every occasion. Rosemary bled orange, had a quick wit, was fiercely protective, and loved hard. She began vacationing in Creede, Colorado as a child with her family and this tradition continues to this day. Creede was her happiest of places to be with the ones she loved. “G” will be missed by her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, of almost 55 years, Joe Kiehn, of the home; her son, Chad Kiehn, of Castle Rock, CO; her daughters and sons in law, Amy Jo and Brian Frazier, of Stillwater, OK and Sara and Steve Merchant, of Sudbury, MA; her grandchildren, Nash Creede Frazier and Campbell Shea Merchant; her sister in law, Jan Donica; her nieces, Kimberly Farha and husband, Troy and Shawn Gortney; her great nephews, Chase Farha and Brad Williams; and a host of loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Shorty and Ruth Donica; and her brother, Darrell Donica.
