Billie L. Eskew, 90, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on August 5, 2024. Bill was born on January 10, 1934, in Gotebo, Oklahoma, to WH and Jannie Eskew. He had three brothers, Roscoe, Travis, and Troy, and one sister, Loretta Arington.
Bill completed his schooling in Lake Valley, Oklahoma, graduating in 1953. In 1955, he married Betty Womack, and together they had three daughters: Vickie, Darla, and Glenda.
In 1961, Bill and Betty moved to Wichita, Kansas. Bill had a long and dedicated career at Vulcan Chemicals, where he worked in cell repair for 27 years before retiring in 1996.
On May 6, 2024, Bill and Betty celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Betty Eskew, of the home; daughter, Darla (Kirt) Wilkinson of Chattanooga, Tennessee; daughter, Glenda (Chris) Martinez of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Nicole Eskew, Phillip (Amanda) Eskew, Isaiah Martinez, and Sabrina Martinez; and great-grandchildren, Noah Eskew and Samuel Eskew.
Bill was preceded in death by his daughter Vickie, his parents, and his siblings.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 am, Friday, August 9, 2024, at East Point Church of Christ.
