City’s Spring cleanup dates announced

To assist citizens with keeping their properties well maintained and clean, the City of Cordell will be offering a Spring cleanup from May 26 – 29, weather permitting. To be included in the cleanup citizens must complete a sign-up form and submit it at City Hall. The form is also available at the city’s website (www.cityofcordell.com) and can be emailed to clerk@cityofcordell.com. All forms must be received by 5pm on Wednesday, May 20 to be included in the pickup.

Guidelines:

•The city will only pick up items if you have registered via this form by the deadline.

•Items must not be set at the curb any earlier than Friday before cleanup week and no later than 6am Tuesday of cleanup week.

•All items are picked up with a clam bucket which may disturb the lawn surface.

•No alley pickup- all materials must be placed curbside, with limbs separated from trash by at least four feet..

•Do not place items on top of or within five feet of any utility equipment (meters, poles, etc) or fire hydrant.

•Tree limbs should be cut into six foot bundles. Limbs longer than six foot will not be picked up.

The following items will not be picked up: chemicals, appliances with freon, household garbage, bagged trash, paint, batteries, tires, teardowns, and boxes.

Cleanup Week is a courtesy service provided by the City of New Cordell to collect incidental, large and bulky items for residents. Residents with large a large amount of items and businesses are not eligible for the cleanup.
