Now on the 6th day of April 2026, the County Commissioners in and for Washita County met in regular session with Chairman Chandler calling the meeting to order.

The Board reviewed the minutes of the March 30, 2026 special meeting. Motion made by Gray seconded by Gossen to approve the minutes as presented. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.

Motion made by Gossen seconded by Gray to approve a Transfer of Appropriations transferring $2,444.00 from travel to maintenance and operation for the Assessor in the Visual Inspection accounts of the General fund. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.

Motion made by Gray seconded by Gossen to table a road maintenance and repair agreement between Little Elk Wind Project and Washita County for a maintenance project in District 2 as the District Attorney’s office is reviewing the agreement. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.
The Board discussed an update receive to the geothermal heat and air system at the Courthouse. The water inside the system is going to have to be filtered, treated, and possibly have a permanent filtration system placed into use. Quotes are being obtained for this solution. No action was taken.
The Board reviewed three written quotes received, per the Public Competitive Bidding Act for public buildings, for improvements to the heat and air units at District 1. Quotes were received from Hinz Refrigeration, West Central Heat and Air, LLC and Southwest Air Conditioning and Heating. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to award the job to West Central Heat and Air, LLC, the lowest written quote received. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.
