The Arctic temperatures didn’t stop Washita County residents from enjoying a rare heavy snow. Busi nesses closed, schools had Snow Days, and many side roads remained impassable but the beauty of the sparkling drifts could not be denied. Local areas received anywhere from 8 - 14 inches of snow and temperatures still remain well below freezing as of press time.
