Cordell Elementary students and the greater community came together in a big way for the 2025 Great Pajama Drive, setting a new record with an incredible 814 pairs of pajamas donated. This year’s total surpassed previous years’ donations, making it the most successful pajama drive to date.
The annual pajama drive has been coordinated by Mrs. Powers for several years, becoming a cherished tradition at Cordell Elementary. Each year, the drive supports the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive, which provides new pajamas to children in need. Mrs. Powers and her husband, Travis, personally transport the donated pajamas to Oklahoma City, where they are distributed to families and children who benefit from the program.
The Powers expressed their appreciation to everyone who contributed, sharing how overwhelmed they are by the generosity shown.
A special thank you was extended to Cordell’s students and their families, whose enthusiasm and kindness played a major role in the drive’s success. Appreciation also went out to Cactus Drilling employees, Warwick Investment Group employees, Joyce Elizondo, and the many other individuals and organizations who donated and supported the cause.
With participation continuing to grow each year, the 2025 Cordell Elementary Pajama Drive stands as a proud example of how the Cordell community comes together to care for those in need.
