A Christmas Chaos at Southwest Playhouse is pure family fun

Southwest Playhouse of Clinton presents “A Christmas Chaos” written by Michael Wehrli: This show is destined to put some tangle in your tinsel just as the title suggests but can be deemed as a family-friendly production.

The story begins with a promise of a professional troupe presenting the Charles Dickens story, A Christmas Carol. Much to the chagrin of the director, the troupe has been halted at the airport! With the philosophy of “the show must go on”, 17 actors, a frustrated director and light and sound folks with an attitude put together a performance.

There are some unexpected adaptations of roles that will cause some belly laughs amid confusion! One can keep eyes open for two Tiny Tims, a Mr. and Mrs. Cratchit played by one person and an Ebenezer Scrooge that works to keep all things together!

The show is high energy for 85 minutes and the cast deliver performances that keep you guessing. It is a must see for your holiday to-do list.

One can still catch a performance next weekend, November 14,15 and 16. Visit the Southwest Playhouse website for ticket sales.

A Christmas Chaos is directed by Julie Barnett and assisted by Emma Brown. This duo has done a grand job of casting this group effectively! Take time to go see the show, you won’t be disappointed!!!
