Margaret Jeanette Francis, 84, of Sentinel, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, in Cordell, Oklahoma.
She was born on June 23, 1941, in Dierks, Arkansas, to Vernon D. Taylor and Martha Elizabeth (Chandler) Taylor Howell.
Margaret grew up and attended school in Washita County, getting her GED in 1975.
She married George P. Francis, Jr. on August 26, 1983, in Hobart, Oklahoma.
Margaret worked in the banking industry in Burns Flat and Sentinel. She worked at Halliburton Oil Company and retired in 1995.
Margaret was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she loved singing in the choir. She was also an auxiliary member. Margaret will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her family.
Survivors include her children: Kevin Parker & wife Rebecca, Sentinel, OK; Tena Emerson & husband Joe, Norman, OK. Grandchildren: Skylar Parker & wife Ce-Dana Dean, Elk City, OK; Amanda Parker, Sentinel, OK; Katrina King, Sentinel, OK; Kevin Leonard Parker, Hobart, OK; Michael Twain Parker, Hobart, OK; Mindy LeAnn, Nebraska; Kathy Parker, Altus, OK; Smokey Emerson & wife Audra, Conway, AR; Brandt Arganbright, OKC, OK, and numerous Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other family and friends.
Preceded in death by Parents: Vernon Taylor & Martha Taylor Howell, Husbands: Burt Parker and George Francis, and Siblings: Vernon D. Taylor, Elmer Taylor, Bill Taylor, Ray Taylor, Ginger Pearce.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2025 at Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home Chapel, Sentinel, OK. Visitation: 3:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home, Sentinel, OK. Interment: Sentinel Cemetery, Sentinel, OK.
