A Special Meeting of the Washita County Commissioners was held on August 11, 2025 in conjunction with the Excise Board regular meeting prior to the regular board meeting with Chairman Gossen calling the meeting to order.
Chairman Gossen asked Kristen Dowell, County Clerk, for roll call. Roll call was answered by Gossen, present; Gray, present; Chandler, present.
Motion made by Gray seconded by Chandler to approve a Transfer of Funds between the REAP fund and the Resale fund in the amount of $40,290.00 for repayment of the interfund loan transfer used to fund the REAP grant received by the Cloud Chief Fire Department. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.
Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gray to sign Resolution No. 2025-44 for the sales tax amount to be included in the general fund budget for FY26. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.
The Board discussed the Estimate of Needs for Washita County for FY26, prepared by Brittion, Kuykendall, & Miller with the Elected Officials, Department Heads, the Oklahoma Tax Commission Ad Valorem Division, and the Excise Board. No action was taken.
