Sign up now for Miss Washita County Scholarship Pageant

Sparkle, smiles, and Washita County will take center stage this August as the annual Miss Washita County Fair Pageant returns! Whether you’re a tiny tot with a twirl or a teen ready to lead, this is your chance to shine on the stage of the Cordell School Auditorium on Friday, August 22, at 6:30 pm.

Girls aged 3 to 18 in Washita County are encouraged to sign up for this year’s event. Registration is open now at www.washitacountypageant.com, but don’t delay too long. The entry deadline is August 8.

From adorable dresses to confident interviews, there’s a division for every age: Mini Miss (3-5 years old), pageant or party dress, no interview, just big smiles.

Little Miss (6-8 years old), show off your personality in a pretty dress, no interview required.

Junior Miss (9-11 years old), formal or pageant dress, and a quick, friendly 5-minute interview.

Teen Miss (12-14 years old), dazzle in your formalwear and share your confidence in a brief interview.

Miss (15-18 years old), step into your leadership role with grace, poise, and a chance to earn a $500 college scholarship.

All contestants will introduce themselves onstage, stating their name and sharing one fun fact about themselves. Interviews (where required) will take place on Saturday, August 16, starting at 1:00 pm in the Cordell School Auditorium. A contestant tea will follow this at 4:00 pm at the Washita County Activity Center, and a rehearsal for all contestants will be held at 5:00 pm.

Queens in each division will receive a sparkling crown, an elegant sash, and a bouquet. First and second runners-up won’t leave empty-handed; they’ll also receive beautiful bouquets to celebrate their accomplishment.

More than just a pageant, this tradition is about building confidence, meeting new friends, and representing Washita County. Winners will have the honor of participating in special events throughout the year.

General Guidelines to Remember: 1.Contestants must be female, unmarried, never pregnant, and residents of Washita County.

2.Attire includes age-appropriate pageant, party, or formal dresses, as well as business professional or Sunday best attire for interviews.

3.All ages are based on the contestant’s age on the day of the competition.

4.Judges’ decisions are final, and a respectful, quiet atmosphere is required backstage.
