Letters to the Editor

April 16, 2025 Dear Editor, Thank you so much, I do love getting the Cordell Beacon each week. It has been a long time since my oldest daughter lived in Cordell with my parents JG Lovell and Zola May Lovell.

I was born in Cordell but I grew up living in Cloud Chief. I was about five months old when my parents became mail carriers. My Mom had 33 boxes that she took on for delivery. I enjoyed riding in her car and ‘helping’ her deliver the mail. We even delivered boxes of baby chicks!

I was born upstairs and I believe it was over a clothing store. Thanks for letting me ramble and ramble.

Sharon Kay Lovell Roberts Dumire April 20, 2025 Dear Editor, Enclosed is payment for another year of the Cordell Beacon. I just wanted to tell you that your paper is so pretty. I like all the colors and the designs that show the holidays and seasons. Your art person must be cheerful.

I am glad to read good things about good people and see what the children are doing in school. That is a real community newspaper. Of course sometimes bad things happen but I am glad most of the time its a good small town life in Cordell.

I have lived away for a long time but I have always kept my subscription and I will do so as long as I am able.

Keep up the good work.
