James D. Allen, 98, of Cordell, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2024, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was born on January 4, 1926, to Lee and Maude Amanda (Taylor) Allen in Braithwaite, Oklahoma.
Jim grew up and attended school in Cordell, graduating from Cordell High School in 1945.
He married Obera Faye Allen on June 16, 1959, in Raton, New Mexico.
She preceded him in death in 2011. Jim worked for Kiwash Electric Cooperative for most of his working life. He was an avid hunter. Jim loved raising quail and bird dogs. He also enjoyed spending time with his son and best friend Mickey.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his son, Mickey Allen of Cordell, Ok.
