Samuelene Annelle Young Henderson, 87, passed away August 25, 2024, in Weatherford, OK. She was born in Marlow, OK to S.A. and Daisy Bell (Haston) Young on October 20, 1936.
Annelle grew up in the Duncan/Marlow area. She attended school at Gatlin and Marlow schools.
Annelle married Jack Henderson on August 29, 1953, in Lawton, OK.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for more than 35 years, working for Cordell Christian Home, Clinton Regional Hospital, and Skaggs Health Center in Branson, MO. She retired in 2003.
After retiring, Jack and Annelle moved to the Hobart, OK area in November 2003. Annelle’s dog Prissy was her dearest friend in her last years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Annelle is survived by 2 sons, Larry Henderson and wife Helen of Cordell, OK; David Henderson and wife Allicia of Hobart, OK; one daughter, Melanie Doucet and husband Daniel of Church Point, LA; bonus daughter Lynne Earl of Church Point, LA; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Andy Young and wife Shirley of Norman, OK; Mike Cochran and wife Belva of Cordell, OK; 2 sisters, Jane Ritter and husband Arbruary of Marlow, OK; Annabelle Bush, Marlow, OK; 1 sister-in-law Ida Red and husband Phillip of Mountain View, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack; daughter Jackie (Henderson) Seaton; 1 grandson Nick Davis; 2 sisters, Ruth Henderson and Delores Rutledge.
Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Ray and Martha’s Funeral Home, Hobart. Interment: Hobart Rose Cemetery, Hobart, OK.
