James Emmitt Pearce, 73, of Sentinel, OK, passed away on July 17, 2024, in Burns Flat, OK.
He was born on May 21, 1951, to Dess & Louise (Larkins) Pearce, in Brooken, OK.
He grew up in Sentinel & attended school at Port, until it’s closure. James in Sentinel, where they spent the next 48 years raising their family.
James spent various years working in the oilfield, as a farm equipment salesman, doing some farming and raising cattle.
In 1997, James & Ginger opened Pearce’s Southside Grocery. It wasn’t long after it opened that it became a staple in the Sentinel community.
In 2003, they outgrew the building they were in and had the new one built.
James enjoyed a good game of Golf. There were many things James loved in his life, but nothing then attended school at Sentinel and graduated in 1970.
On July 9, 1976, James married the love of his life, Ginger Taylor, in Sentinel, OK. Together they made their home came close to the love he had for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Ginger Pearce of Sentinel, OK. His son, James Ray Owen & companion, Shirley Varney, Sentinel, OK, his son-in-law: Bill Grant, Sentinel, OK; Grandchildren: Savannah Schneyder & husband, Mikey, Sentinel, OK, Logan Grant & wife, Shannon, Boise City, OK, and Eli Grant, OKC, OK. Great Grandchildren: Kinzee, Conner, & Riley Schneyder, Magrath, Alberta, CA, Berkli Collins, Sentinel, OK, Keilan Robinson, Hooker, OK, Brixlee Grant, Boise City, OK. Siblings: David Pearce & wife, Donna, Brooken Mountain, OK, Billie Henderson, Stigler, OK, LaDessia Newman, Tecumseh, OK, Jean Abel & husband, Hal, Choctaw, OK, Frankie Pearce, Tecumseh, OK. Sisters-in-law: Gale Taylor, Dill City, OK and Margaret Francis, Cordell, OK, and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
