Sheila Irene Collins

Sheila Irene Collins, 74, of Burns Flat, Oklahoma was born on October 13, 1948 in Amber, Oklahoma.

She is the daughter of Roy Cordell and Mildred Irene (Mott) Brown. Sheila received her wings on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital North, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family.

She married the love of her life, Thomas Edwin “Tom” Collins on September 7, 1968 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

They moved to Burns Flat, Oklahoma in 1972 and after a few years opened a Burns Flat Daycare which she ran for over ten years. Then in 2000, Sheila and Tom opened up a restaurant called the Eagles Nest, they operated this business until 2010. After that Sheila worked for Great Plains Regional Medical Center restaurant for two years. Then she worked for Wal-mart in the Bakery baking amazing sweets for two years.

Sheila was a faithful member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Burns Flat, Oklahoma where she loved learning about her Lord and Savior and reading her Bible.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Burns Flat, Oklahoma. Rick Ellis will officiate. Interment will be at Foss Cemetery, Foss, Oklahoma. Services have been lovingly entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin- Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Cherishing her memory is her loving husband of fifty-four years, Tom Collins of the home; three daughters, Tammy Ann Stevie Day and her husband, Robert of Elk City, Oklahoma, Tina Marie Leverett and her husband, Shawn of Sayre, Oklahoma, Regina Ann Yeager and her husband, Billy of Elk City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Payton Villanueva of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Jaquoah Lemons of Elk City, Oklahoma, Erica Holmes, Nevaeh Leverett, Morgan Leverett, Gavin Yeager, Angelina Yeager, Christian Yeager all of Sayre, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren; one brother, Daniel Brown and his wife, Effie of Joplin, Missouri; two sisters, Carol Brown and Annie Brown both of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Sheila is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mildred Brown; one brother, Steven Brown and one sister, Dawn Brown.
