A very special thank you to the Scouts and Cub Scouts and others for placing the American flags on the veterans’ graves at the Lawnview Cemetery for Memorial Day. The cemetery was beautiful. The Washita County 4-H clubs also helped with flags.
There will be no Scouts meetings during the rest of the summer.
Remember that the Chamber of Commerce has a movie at the Washita Theatre every Monday for the kids this summer. Cost is $3 per person and the movie starts at 2 p.m. This is a fun thing to do this summer.
Are you getting ready for the town wide garage sale? It is going to happen on June 10th. Your junk may be just what someone else needs.
My friend Debbie Wedel is planning a mission trip to Israel this year. There will be a fundraiser breakfast on Saturday June 3rd starting at 7:30 a.m. in the Family Life Center of the First Baptist Church to help with the cost of her trip. Let’s all support her.
