BF-DC Weekly 4H Club Report

The Washita County Fashion Revue and Impressive Dress Competitions were held at the Sentinel Activity Center on Tuesday, March 28. Fashion Revue is the sewing event.

BF-DC had 6 participants: Joey Mooney, Evie Denny, Kathryn Sirmon, Brance Barnett and Junior members Abby Sirmon and Braxton Barnett entering 30 items. Champion Interior Design and Construction was Braxton Barnett, BF-DC Jr. Reserve Champion was Alexander Misener, Canute; Champion Hobbies Textile Design & Construction was Bailey Gossen, Cordell, Reserve Champion was Evie Denny; Champion Apparel Design & Construction was Brance Barnett, Sarah Misener, Canute, was Reserve Champion; and Champion Other Items was Brance Barnett, Reserve Champion was Braxton Barnett, BF-DC Jr.

Impressive Dress participants were: Kathryn Sirmon, Evie Denny and Brance Barnett. Those winning ribbons were: Active Sports Wear, 1st Alexander Misener, Canute, 2nd Kathryn Sirmon. Dress wear winners were: Kathryn Sirmon 1st, Evie Denny 2nd, and Alexander Misener, Canute 3rd. Casual wear 1st place winner was Kathryn Sirmon, Alexander Misener, Canute, was 2nd and Evie Denny placed third.

Grand Champion Senior Appropriate Dress was Kathryn Sirmon. I would like to thank Cheryl Lively and Phyllis Booth for judging these competitions for us. Thank you to the Sentinel Clubs for being wonderful hosts, as well.

We are all preparing for the Washita County Speech Contest that will be held in Canute April 24.
