Nellie Juanita Salmon, 92, of Cordell, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on November 17th, 2022
at the Cordell Christian Home in Cordell, Oklahoma. She was born on April 27, 1930 to Derby and Frona Bell (King) Dorsey in Kingston, Arkansas. She grew up and attended school at Port. Juanita met Sam and they were married in 1947, he preceded her in death in 1981. Juanita met Artie Lee Salmon they were united in marriage on October 27, 1984 in Las Vegas, he preceded her in death in 2015. She spent her working life as a homemaker, staying at home caring for her children. Juanita loved dancing, attending the Sentinel Street Dance and dancing at other places. She enjoyed needle point and baking. Juanita made the best chocolate candy, peanut brittle and numerous other baked goods. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include: Daughters: Vickie Knauber & husband Skip, Roseville, CA; Linda Duke & partner Pam Gray, Cordell, OK; Janet Riddle, Cordell, OK. Grandchildren: Keri Dodero & husband Bill; Jennifer Mahoney; Melanie Torres & husband Mike, Cordell, OK; Josh Riddle & wife Julie, McKinney, TX. Great Grandchildren: Juliana Dodero, Jack Mahoney, Alexis Torres, Gavin Torres, Tyler Riddle and Morgan Phillips.
Preceded in death by her Parents: Derby & Frona Bell Dorsey, Husbands: Sam and Artie, and Granddaughter: Mandy Duke.
