Last week was the BF-DC Sr. 4-H club’s second official meeting for the 2022-23 year. The first order of business for this meeting was a workshop on heart health taught by a team of nursing school students from SWOSU. They taught us why keeping your heart healthy is important, suggested ways to keep your heart healthy and how to take your own blood pressure. At the end of their presentation, they let us practice taking each other’s blood pressure. After the student team left we started on the project area part of our meeting. First, we discussed what our next project would be as a club after the bean supper and carnival, and we decided that we would start on fleece blankets for the local pregnancy care centers. We also discussed who would be leading workshops at the annual Washita county 4-H junior roundup next month.
