BF-DC Sr. 4-H members Kathryn Sirmon and Brance Barnett, went to the Science Museum, in Oklahoma City, for Bright Nights Friday, February 11th. Larissa Mason, our volunteer leader, spent the evening with us and Braxton Barnett, BF-DC Junior member. If you have never been to Bright Nights, I highly recommend it. The overnight stay is a great opportunity to meet other 4-H members from all across the state. We have the whole museum for afterhours access. The planetarium is open and one of my favorite activities, I also love the human size chess board. There are special experiment stations set up to really dig deep in subject matter. Brance Barnett had additional duties as a state council member. You may see Brance in some upcoming videos that were shot at the museum to promote this exciting night.
We are preparing this week for the Washita County Livestock Show that starts Sunday, February 20th. Monday will be a full day of showing outstanding animals. The Premium Auction will be Tuesday evening. We would love to have you come out and watch the show.
