Jerry W. Wedel, 79, of Cordell, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly on January 7th, 2022. He was born on September 7th, 1942 to Arnold and Edna (Willems) Wedel in Cordell, Oklahoma.
Jerry grew up and attended school in Cordell graduating from Corn Bible Academy in1960.
He met and married Betty Bartel on August 16, 1963 at the Mennonite Brethern Church in Cor dell, Oklahoma, to this union were born two children: Steven and Stacy. Jerry attended South Western Oklahoma State University and received his Associates Degree.
He spent his working life farming, he loved raising baby calves. He had a passion for flying.
He loved celebrating the 4th of July and having his family and friends around.
Jerry was an active member of the First Baptist Church, in Cordell, OK.
He loved, followed, and served Jesus, his family, and community. He prayed every morning with Betty over his family, pastor, community, and country. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Donations can be given in lieu of flowers to Corn Bible Academy in honor of Jerry Wayne Wedel graduate in 1960.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Wedel of the home; Children: Steven Wayne Wedel, Arcadia, NM, Stacy Len Wedel & wife Rama, Yukon, OK; Grandchildren: Kale Steven Wedel, Amanda Skye Imsen & husband Richard, Yukon, OK, Jacob Thomas Wedel & wife Nicole, Cordell, OK, Raina Macy Wrather & Madison, Tahlequah, OK, Jackson Eli Wedel; Great Grandchildren: Rosalee Imsen, Asher Imsen, Remington Imsen, Aaro Imsen, and Blaine Wedel; Brother: Michael Wedel & wife Beverly, Bartles ville, OK; Aunt: Beatrice Pugh, Texas
Preceded in death by his Parents: Arnold & Edna Wedel, Numerous Aunts and Uncles.
