Cordell Memorial Hospital

A Message from Melinda Laird, CEO/CNO

The last year and half has brought many challenges to healthcare. The challenges have brought change to how healthcare is provided from the clinics to the hospitals, this includes remote visits, telehealth, and visits with masks. There has also been changes at Cordell Memorial Hospital (CMH) in the executive leadership to the management relationship with St. Anthony’s, SSM Healthcare. My name is Melinda Laird, I am the current CEO/CNO at CMH and I am happy to be a part of the team providing your care in Cordell, Washita County and Western Oklahoma. I am committed to the care of our community by providing outstanding compassionate care to each person.

The affiliate relationship we have with SSM allows us to face the challenges in meeting the healthcare needs of our community. We have providers here in Cordell providing care in the Emergency Department and Family Clinic.

We also have a cardiologist who is in Cordell twice a month. Telehealth visits with SSM specialty physicians is available through the clinic. When your care requires you to go outside of Cordell, we have the commitment to bring you home to complete your care in our swing beds. It is important to be home, close to family and friends and it is our dedication to you, your health and wellness.

It is my commitment to you to inform you of the services we provide at CMH and I ask that you commit to let me know if there is a service you would like to see at CMH. Each month I will be sharing with you what is happening in healthcare globally and locally.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. You are able to have your mammogram done in Cordell when the OU Breast Health Network mobile mammogram truck is at CMH. The mobile mammogram will be here on October 25 and to schedule your appointment call 800-422-4626 ext. 49760 or 49761.

For your health and wellness,

Melinda
