Now on the 30th day of March 2026, the County Commissioners in and for Washita County met in regular session with Chairman Chandler calling the meeting to order.
Chairman Chandler asked Kristen Dowell, County Clerk, for roll call. Roll call was answered by Gossen, present; Gray, present; Chandler, present.

The Board was notified of a change to the receiving officers for the Sheriff’s department, removing Rusty Cannon and adding Tami Estep. No action was taken.
The Board was notified of a change to the requisition officers for the Emergency Management department, removing Kenneth Trent and adding Trey Shelton. No action was taken.
Motion made by Gossen seconded by Gray to approve a Transfer of Appropriations transferring $21,000.00 from Maintenance & Operations to Capital Outlay for the Sheriff within the Sheriff Fees fund. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.

The Board discussed the used of the outside arena at the Activity Center for a riding program for Veterans by Dale Long. No action was taken.
Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gray to not object to the application by ASAP Holdings, LLC to vacate the plat of the Original Town of Cordell, Block 44. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.
The Board opened Bid No. 2026-1 Rebid for a grass seeder with trailer for the Washita County Conservation District. A bid was received from Strobel Manufacturing in the amount of $43,385.80. Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gray to award the bid to Strobel Manufacturing, the only bid received. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.
