Now on the 6th day of October 2025, the County Commissioners in and for Washita County met in regular session with Chairman Gossen calling the meeting to order.

Motion made by Gray seconded by Chandler to sign Resolution No. 2025-50 to correct the deposit of a refund of postage received by the Assessor’s office which was incorrectly placed into the official depository and apportioned to Assessor Fees and to allow for the reimbursement to General fund and Visual Inspection account for use in the current fiscal year. The Board opened Bid No. 2025-08 for a 2025 or newer GMC Pickup for District 3. Bids were received from the following: Cummins Chevrolet GMC Cadillac - $50,227.00 and Ferguson Buick GMC $52,731.00. The Board received a schedule of activities for the month of October for the Emergency Manager and an update on the status of the Emergency Management Performance Grant for the current Federal Fiscal Year which began October 1, 2025. At this time, the grant has not been opened for application. In the past, the grant has been awarded by this time. No action was taken.
The Board was notified of the approval by the Chairman for the Washita County Conservation District office to use an office in the Courthouse and use the Activity Center for monthly board meetings during the shutdown of the Federal government. No action was taken.
