Cordell prepares to be spook-tacularly overrun by tiny monsters

Dust off your broomsticks, charge your flashlight batteries, and prepare your candy stash, because Spook the Square is back and ready to haunt Cordell once again!

On Friday, October 31, from 6:00 pm until the candy mysteriously “disappears,” the downtown square will transform into a frightfully fun zone packed with ghosts, superheroes, princesses, and the occasional confused dinosaur. Local businesses and residents are gearing up to hand out candy faster than you can say “trick-or-treat.” You don’t want to miss it!

Expect to see witches wobbling in heels, pirates clutching pumpkin buckets, and parents chasing sugar- fueled goblins through the square like it’s a haunted obstacle course. The annual event promises a fangtastic time for kids of all ages, whether you’re five or 105, though we recommend leaving your dentures at home if you’re planning to bite into taffy.

Costumes are encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and glitter is inevitable. So grab your spooky squad and come help Spook the Square! Just remember: the candy supply is limited, so the early ghost gets the gummy worms.

Cordell’s favorite Halloween tradition is back, bringing laughter, sugar highs, and memories that will last until… well, until bedtime.

Spook the Square, where even the monsters are adorable. See you there!
