Program Director Liz Worley, BSN, RN, PMH-BC, has announced that Cordell Memorial Hospital has openings in its Senior Life Solutions program, which assists older adults who may benefit from additional mental health. The program provides specialized outpatient mental health care for adults typically 65+, including therapist‑led group sessions, individualized therapy, regular psychiatrist appointments, and a structured, supportive environment that helps participants build resilience, connection, and healthier coping skills. The program also offer transportation within a 25‑mile radius (up to 30), and all services remotely which can make participation much more accessible for seniors who may have difficulty traveling.
A clinical overview of Senior Life Solutions:
EVIDENCE-BASED THERAPY Schedule
• Group therapy is offered three days a week for three hours each day. Patients attend the number of days needed based on their individualized treatment plan and as ordered by the psychiatrist.
• Individual sessions are available as frequently as weekly with the therapist, dependenton the patient’s needs.
• The program’s medical director, a board-certified psychiatrist, will meet one-on-one withpatients at least monthly; however, these sessions can occur more often if necessary.

• Evidence-based practices are utilized for all therapy.
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Psychoeducational
• Therapy are some modalities of evidence-based treatment offered.
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that treats mood disorders such as depression by modifying dysfunctional emotions, behaviors, and thoughts.
• Group curriculum resources are provided to our program therapists.
PHYSICAL CARE
Wellness Check
• Performed at each patient visit.
• Measures blood pressure and vitals.
• Evaluates quality of sleep, areas of swelling and pain, mood change, hygiene habits, and more.
CASE MANAGEMENT
Personalized
• Medication management with the goal of reduction in polypharmaceutical usage.
• Identifying resources to help with basic needs including but not limited to food, clothing, transportation, etc.
• Ensure the patient is in a safe, loving environment.
Senior Life Solutions is an intensive outpatient therapy program designed to meet the unique needs of individuals typically 65 and older experiencing depression and/or anxiety related to life changes that are often associated with aging.
Anyone can make a referral to the program, including self-referrals, primary care physicians, specialists, family members, friends, community groups, and nursing or residential facilities.
