The Cordell FFA Chapter held its Annual Labor Auction on October 21, 2025 at the Washita County Activity Center, bringing together students, families, and community members for an evening of fun and support. The event featured more than 60 FFA members who volunteered their time and skills, offering labor hours to the highest bidders.
The auction raised just under $43,000 dollars to help fund a variety of FFA activities throughout the year, including leadership development conferences, career and skills competitions, and community outreach projects.
These funds play an important role in helping students gain valuable hands-on experience and prepare for future careers in agriculture and related fields.
FFA Advisor Mitchell Battise expressed appreciation for the strong community turnout and generosity. “Our community continues to show incredible support for our students,” he said. “Events like this not only raise funds but also build lasting connections between our members and the people who believe in what we’re doing.”
The evening also included a steak dinner and silent auction. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to visit with friends and neighbors while investing in the growth and success of local agricultural youth.
The Cordell FFA Chapter would like to thank all donors, bidders, and volunteers who made this year’s Labor Auction a success. For more information about upcoming FFA events or how to support the chapter, please contact Mr. Battise at mbattise@cordell.k12.ok.us or 580-832-3420 Ext. 520.
