The Cordell Blue Devils kicked off their 2025 football season on Friday, August 29th, under the lights at Blue Devil Stadium. Fans filled the stands to cheer on their team in the highly anticipated season opener, dressed in their Hawaiian best, but Cordell was unable to make the most of their home-field advantage.
The Blue Devils battled hard, never giving up, but were ultimately outmatched by the Sayre Eagles, who secured a 62-18 victory. Despite the tough loss, Cordell showed glimpses of improvement and potential that they’ll look to build on moving forward.
With their opener behind them, the Blue Devils are turning their focus to their next challenge. Cordell will retake the field on Friday, September 5th, at 7:00 p.m. against the Fox Foxes. This match-up marks the beginning of Cordell’s 8-man football season.
