Cordell Memorial Hospital adds advanced CT scanner

Cordell Memorial Hospital is continuing to build upon the commitment they have made to provide the best care and widest available selection of services to Washita County and surrounding areas. This includes topnotch diagnostic services.

They have recently installed a new CT scanner that has the capability to create higher quality and more precise imaging which in turn will allow quick, accurate diagnosis for patients without the need to travel to receive testing.

The NeuViz 64In CT Scanner, made by Neusoft Medical Systems (NMS), is part of a long line of innovative CT product offerings by NMS. The new scanner is an upgrade from the 16slice that has served well to a new state of the art 64-slice scanner that brings exquisite resolution and clinical certainty focusing on speed, accuracy and minimized X-ray dose profile without compromising image quality. The technology provides the resolution necessary for difficult-to-acquire studies, faster scan time for clearer images, reduce artifact, and extend scanning range. The reduction in artifact improves the image for those with prosthetic device to provide clearer image.

Advanced interventional applications provide detailed diagnostic tools for vessel analysis of the brain, neck, abdomen and lower leg. The design provides precise studies for emboli, pulmonary or otherwise. This scanner also provides for improved diagnostic scanning for stroke and trauma.

The weight capability of the new scanner improves the ability to scan more patients.

Scanning that is provided with the NeuViz 64-slice scanner includes Bone Densitometry, Low dose Cardiac Calcium heart score, low does lung screening for lung cancer, Vessel Analysis, Intensity projection for virtual airway studies and higher detail images with more accurate diagnosis.

The designed interface improves workflow and efficiency for the user.

Melinda Laird, CEO/ CNO of Cordell Memorial Hospital stated “We are sharing this update of our equipment with you as well as with those providers in the community and surrounding communities to know what is available at Cordell Memorial Hospital.”
