Cordell Memorial Hospital

A Message from Melinda Laird, CEO/CNO

It is the hot time of year and temperatures have been high earlier this summer than in recent years. We want to remind you to keep yourself hydrated during the day whether you are inside or outside. When you hydrate yourself before going outside you are better prepared for the hot temperatures. It is best to limit your time outside but if you have to be outside for long periods of time keep the water close to you. Water is the best way to keep yourself hydrated.

In addition to staying hydrated, stay free of the irritating insect bites. Mosquito bites are my least favorite summer bug. It is important to use insect repellent with DEET, at least 30% will protect for up to 8 hours.

I have provided you information previously about new services, Nuclear Medicine and expanded services, Infusion Services that we have at CMH. Those both occurred during June with success and we are looking forward to new things in July with new people that have joined our team.

Abby Parker joined the team at our Family Clinic. It is exciting to see what she brings to our community and her passion for women’s health. There will be more to come about what we will be offering for women of all ages.

During the month of July we are collecting hygiene items that we will provide to the schools in Washita County. This is our passion to provide for the kids and as well as health care for them. We are collecting items such as body wash/soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrush/ toothpaste, etc. You are asked to bring these items by CMH and we will deliver to the schools throughout the school year.

We post frequently on Facebook and we have a website with information.

We are here for you. Any questions about our services or possible future services please contact me at 580-832-3339.

For your health and wellness,

Melinda
