Cordell Memorial Hospital

A Message from Melinda Laird, CEO/CNO

November is coming to a close which means the end of 2022 is not far behind. We didn’t get the chance to celebrate and share events that occurred during Rural Health Day 2022. This day is celebrated by all 50 states showcasing the efforts of individuals and organizations going the extra mile to address the unique healthcare needs of rural communities. The theme this year was “Driving Change and Going the Extra mile.” CMH celebrated with our schools, Cordell, Sentinel and Burns Flat with a coloring contest and the winners are pictured on this page. We also celebrated with CMH with a pizza day where Blake shared his love for Rural Health.

We continue to bring services to our community as we address the healthcare need of our Cordell and Washita County. This month we kicked off the expansion of the Wound Care services that will be in place by the end of January 2023. This will include weekly services provided by a team of experts in wound care. John Karlin who has been our wound care expert will have more support and a team that will meet the wound needs. The center will be called the Cordell Memorial Hospital Wound Care Center and we have partnered with a group, Restorix Health, who are experts in wound care. The services will be for outpatient as well as inpatient as we expand our swing bed services. There will be more information coming on the CMH website and Facebook.

The Infusion Center, Nuclear Med Service and our new CT are the start of more to come as we continue to meet the unique healthcare needs of our community.

Please let me know if you have suggestions on what we can do for you. Please call 580-832-3339.

For your health and wellness,

Melinda
