All the excitement of the end of school and Mothers’ Day is over. Now we all can look forward to a wonderful summer.
The First Baptist Church is offering Summer activities for the kids. There will be mini camps starting May 30th. Pick up enrollment forms in the Family Life Center or call the Church office at 580-832-2896.
Remember that the Cub Scouts and Scouts meet every Monday at the Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m.
The Cordell City Council will meet on the 3rd Monday of each month. Everyone is invited to attend. If you want to be a part of what is happening in our wonderful town, be there.
I missed the deadline time for my article last week. I was in Norman for my daughter Cindy’s retirement party. I do hope some of you missed my article!
I am sharing a poem I wrote for last week’s paper. Although I think about my Mom each day of the year, On Mothers Day I miss her most and wish that she was here.
I would think about how I went to her with problems late at night After a really hard day of work She would always hug me tight.
I remember she would talk to us before we went to bed, and never let us go to sleep until our prayers were said.
And though I miss her most of all on Mothers Day each year I’m thankful for the things we shared those days when she was here.
