Burns Flat-Dill City 4-H Report

Burns Flat Dill City Senior 4-H Club has been busy blessing others for the holiday season. Members metat various times to finish up many of the projects that had been started throughout the year. Over 150 nursing home residents were blessed with a cupcake made from a pair of socks and a chapstick. The 4-Hmembers enjoyed decorating each cupcake to make it unique for the recipients. Ashley was in charge ofdelivering the cupcakes for us. Our leader, Larissa has been making many trips to Oklahoma City. She has witnessed a surge in thehomeless population and inspired our 4-H members to do something about it. We gathered blankets, scarves and gloves. We baked some cookies and made some candy. Baskets were made by adding aGod’s Promise book and chapstick. Evie Denny made the trip to Oklahoma City to had these baskets out to the homeless. Evie Denny had a special project for the firefighters, the hospital staff and the nursing home staff. We made candy, cookies and snacks for these people who take care of others. Evie made all the deliveries in time for the holidays. Our club is always busy during the holiday season but it would not be possible without the support of our leader, Larissa Mason. Larissa inspires us to look for ways to bless others on a daily basis. We look forward to 2023 with many more projects to start and finish and many more people to bless.
