Carnegie Wildcats Claw Past Blue Devils

Hopes for a perfect Blue Devil football season tumbled Friday night, October 2, 2015, as Carnegie took a 7 to 18 win in the district game. “We just did not play strong offense,” said Cordell Head Coach Dustin Beasley. “I was pleased with our defense. They flew around, gave good effort and took care of business.” Near the end of the first quarter Carnegie scored a touchdown on a toss over the left side and held a 0 - 6 lead at the end of the fist half.

CHS Lady Blue Devil Cross Country Team Racing Toward State

Another Saturday, another win for the Cordell Lady Blue Devil Cross Country team. “We had another strong meet on Saturday, October 3, 2015,” said Cordell Head Coach Jana Rogers. “Our times seem to be improving overall.” With a total of 19 points, Cordell’s team finished in first place at the Hobart Cross Country meet. The Lady Blue Devils claimed seven of the first ten spots, with Berkley Price crossing the finish line first with a time of 12:37.

Cordell Pink Panthers Selected To Be Team Ambassadors

The Cordell U10 Girls Pink Panther soccer team recently held a raffle to win a Yeti cooler as a fundraiser for tournament entry fees and travel expenses. Beth Lindsey was the big winner.

The Cordell High School Lady Blue Devils Cross Country team had another good showing at the cross country meet held on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Lindsay.“The ladies ran really well at Lindsay,” said Head Cross Country Coach Jana Rogers.

Cordell Blue Devils Clip Burns Flat-Dill City Eagles

The Cordell Blue Devils,who are 3-0, played the Burns Flat-Dill City Eagles in their homecoming game on September 18, 2015. The Cordell team stats were: 27 rushes for 278 yards and 6 touchdowns, 3 for 5 passing with 74 yards and 1 touchdown, 352 total offensive yards, and 60 yards on special teams, for a total of 412 yards.

CHS Lady Blue Devils Win Cross Country Meet

“This was the hardest course they have ever run,” said Cordell Head Cross Country Coach Jana Rogers. “It had numerous hills and was a sand trail!” The Lady Blue Devils took a deep breath and blazed through the course, with five girls finishing in the top ten to clinch first place for the team.

CHS Blue Devils Trample Bronchos

Cordell’s football team rolled to an easy victory Friday night, September 11, 2015, when they defeated Central High 42 to 0.“They are going through a change in their designation,” said Cordell Head Coach Dustin Beasley, “and that is making their schedule really difficult this year.”
