CBA Basketball Season Comes To An End

The Corn Bible Academy boy’s basketball team’s season concluded last weekend in the Regional Tournament at Carnegie when CBA fell to Duke following a win over Big Pasture. CBA entered the tournament on Thursday in the loser’s bracket, one loss meaning the end of the season.

Cordell Lady Blue Devils Are District Runner Up

“It wasn’t the best week we have had this year, but we do advance in the play-offs and that is our goal,” said Cordell Head Basketball Coach Jana Rogers as she looked back at games against Watonga and Oklahoma Bible Academy. On Tuesday, February 16, 2016, the Lady Blue Devils traveled to Watonga for their final regular season game, a 30 to 48 loss for Cordell.

CHS Lady Blue Devils Add Two More To Win Column

“We put together a complete game against Snyder,” commented Cordell Head Basketball Coach Jana Rogers following the 57 to 29 Lady Blue Devil win on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. “We looked very energetic and, with the exception of a slow scoring second quarter, played a good balanced ball game.”

Blue Devils Defeat Snyder, Drop Close Game To Navajo

“It was a grind it out type game,” said Cordell Head Basketball Coach Brandon Gallagher of the 46 to 39 Cordell win over Snyder on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. “We didn’t shoot really well but our defense did hold them to under 40 points.”

CBA Basketball Teams Suppress Geary

Corn Bible Academy (CBA) recently played host to the Geary Bison in which all junior high and high school teams competed within one evening. The Crusaders finished the night with a record of 3 to 1,losing only the high school girls’ game.

Western Oklahoma Christian School player Hannah Cooke of Corn blocks outs an Arapaho-Butler player. The Golden Eagles hosted Arapaho-Butler's fourth and fifth grade team recently. The final score favored the visiting team.

CHS Lady Blue Devils Defeat Hollis In Tri-County First Round

“Going in to the game we were worried,” said Cordell Head Basketball Coach Jana Rogers about the Tri-County Tournament first round game against Hollis. “They had been scoring up to 60 points a game and we knew not to take them lightly.”

Cordell Blue Devils Take Second At Tri-County Tournament

“It’s easy to want more,” Cordell Head Basketball Coach Brandon Gallagher said of his team’s second place finish at the Tri-County Tournament, “but there are bigger things out there for this group of guys and we can’t lose sight of that.”
