“Obviously we would like to have won,” said new Cordell Head Basketball Coach Brandon Gallagher of the team’s 44 to 57 loss to Hobart, “but we played hard and I like the way we competed.”

CBA Junior High Basketball Team Places At Lomega Tourney

Hoping to head into Thanksgiving break with a few trophies, the Crusaders traveled to the Lomega gymnasium last week for the annual junior high basketball tournament. CBA started off the tournament on Monday when both  teams played Canton.

CBA Varsity Basketball Kick Off Season In Sweetwater

Having finished football season only a week ago, Corn Bible Academy (CBA) made the quick transition to basketball season when the varsity teams traveled to play at Sweetwater on Friday night. The first game of the night faced the very young Lady Crusaders team against a much improved Sweetwater team. Ready to compete from the opening tip-off, CBA scored quickly and obtained a large first quarter lead. Sweetwater refused to give up, however, and cut the half-time deficit to nine points.

Cordell Devil Pride U12 Girls

Cordell Devil Pride U12 Girls Soccer took second place at the Clinton Arsenal Fall Tournament on October 24 and 25, 2015. Devil Pride ended their season with a record of 9-2. CHS Closes Football Season At Thomas

Cordell High School closed out their very successful 2015 football season with a loss in a winner take all game at Thomas on Friday, November 13. “We weren’t ready for the season to be over” said Cordell Head Coach Dustin Beasley. “Our guys went out and they fought and they battled and they played their hearts out. It just wasn’t to be.”

CHS Blue Devils Sail Past Snyder

With the convincing 66 to 6 defeat of Snyder on Friday, October 23, 2015, the Cordell Blue Devils will take an 8 and 1 record into the November 6 match-up with Hollis for the District Championship. Cordell  scored first at Snyder on a 16-yard run by Colton Henson, followed by a successful point after kick by Logan Selman.
